Friends

Friends have always been important to me since I can remember. But recently I have been so grateful for the wonderful friends that I have. No names will be mentioned but you know who you are. I am grateful that I can laugh, cry, and just be myself around them. They are my family away from my own family.

Our Savior Jesus Christ

Listen to this. It is wonderful. It is a nice little reminder of how wonderful our Savior is and how He helps ease our burdens in times of trial and rejoices with us in times of happiness.

I think that sometimes I get so caught up in day to day life that I can sometimes forget that I have someone there to HELP me. What a blessing it is to have this wonderful help in our lives.

Family History

We were assigned to take a Family History class and we have loved it. The teachers are great and we have learned quite a bit. If you haven't already sign up at http://new.familysearch.org. It has been fun talking to my parents and grandpa about our family.

The Proposal= Hilarious

We watched The Proposal last night and we loved it! There were a few suggestive parts but over all it was hilarious. One of my favorite parts is when Gammy and Margaret first meet and Gammy says "So do you go by Margaret or the Devil's Mistress" LOL!!! Loved it.

Mission Friends

About four years ago at this time I was in Peru in an area called Vitarte. I had been there for a few years and worked in two wards. One of the wards was very helpful with missionary work and we spent most of our time working in their area. My companion and I became close with a bishop and his wife and I was sad to leave that area.

After my mission I have kept in contact with this family once in a while. They will usually call my home in CO and luckily they catch my when I am there. Well I haven't talked to them in over a year and so this week I sent them an email and got a phone call back today!! YEAH. Come to find out they will be in UT next June and I am really hoping to be able to see them IF we are somewhere close.

I just love friends, old and new.

Awkward

So lately I have been thinking about this and am wondering what the deal is and I really hesitate to post this but.....


Do you ever have conversations with certain people that are awkward EVERY time you talk to them? Why is that? Is it me? or them? Do they not like me or did I say something to offend them? Do I have something on my face? Did I say something awkward? (this might be the reason actually.. if you know me that is really a HUGE possiblity). I feel like everytime I talk to one or two certain people it is AWKWARD.

I won't say who or when I have these conversations but if you are reading this it probably isn't with you. I guess I will never know. Just something I was thinking about.

Spoiled

I tell ya... the older one gets the more spoiled they become. Ok maybe not but I feel like I have been spoiled this week. On Tuesday I woke up and went to work, when I got to work my office was decorated and my co-workers had cinnamon rolls and Simply Orange Orange Juice for me (one of my favorite juices). My co-workers spoiled me with a very generous gift card to my favorite place, PORTER'S. Then Dan spoiled me with flowers and by taking me to Olive Garden to have lunch and spoiled me some more by taking me shopping to Target to get new curtains which I love. Then he spoiled me by making me a cheese cake. We finished off the night by having some friends/family over for games. And of course having the phone calls from family and friends to wish me a happy birthday. My dad and my in-laws sang to me... I think they should all start a choir :) I'll post pictures of the curtains later! I promise.

It was such a fun birthday.

Also last weekend we went to Utah to help Danette with her new house. It was so fun and I love the house. Makes me want my own (sometimes). :)
